Old Business Information Systems

Students in Computer Lab

Information is critical to business competitiveness today, and information systems handle the information flow. The Business Information Systems programme emphasizes information systems as a means to improve business processes within and between companies.

The programme focuses on the role of IT in business renewal and entrepreneurial development, and gives the basics for designing and linking business processes and information systems.

You will learn how to create new business opportunities through the use of IT, how information systems can be used to improve corporate and customer relations, and how to enhance productivity and quality in business processes. You will also have the opportunity to do an internship, either in Sweden or internationally.

Career prospects

The programme prepares you for job positions that demand the ability to work on projects where the development of both business opportunities and the IT solutions needed to create competitive advantage are required.
