Welcome to the School of Education and Communication!
The School of Education and Communication is one of four schools constituting Jönköping University. The school offers a high academic excellence in a truly international learning environment. The facilities are modern, creative and well-equipped with the latest technology, which creates a productive environment for studies and research.
HLK has 100 partner universities around the world and participates in several programmes for student and teacher exchange inside and outside Europe.
An important part of student life is meeting new people and relaxing with your friends. In Jönköping there are plenty of things to do when you need a break from your studies. Thanks to the central location of the university, parks, beaches and entertainment are all within walking distance.
The university campus also has cafés and restaurants where you can relax with friends and explore the swedish "fika" culture.
The landscape around Jönköping, with its mountains, hundreds of lakes and extensive forests and farmland, is renowned as one of Sweden's most attractive regions.
Just a short walk from the campus you will find the long sandy beaches of Lake Vättern, right in the city centre. Jönköping is Sweden's tenth largest city and almost one-third of Sweden's population lives within 170 km of here.
The Student Union strives to make the time that you spend at the university meaningful and exciting. Ensuring a high standard of education and student life are some of their top priorities.
The International Association is available to give you as an international student, the most out of your stay in Sweden. They assign a contact person to each international student, as well as organising fun activities and exciting trips every semester.
