Young People, ICTs and Democracy 7,5 Credits

Can the internet inspire civic engagement and participation and foster democracy? The course discusses and analyses current arguments within research, looks into perspectives of contemporary western democracies (especially young people´s position), theorises the relationship between ICTs and democracy.

Prerequisites

General requirements and completed courses on bachelor level 180 credits, 90 credits within social
sciences, behavioural sciences or humanities, including an individual work, e.g. thesis 15 credits or
equivalent.
Proof of English B through TOEFL/IELTS/Cambridge score or equivalent if non-native English speaker.
