JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge is an award for Best Business Idea from JIBS students. The prize is awarded annually on 6 February.

Award goes to application for the visually impared
Giving the visually impaired a chance to be escorted by the help of seeing volunteers – that was the winning business idea in the JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge 2013. According to JIBS Dean Johan Roos, this was the contribution that best matched the school's core values: International at heart – entrepreneurial in mind - responsible in action.
Henri Valvanne - First Prize 2012
Natallia Pisareva - Second Prize 2012
Vassil Afzali - Third Prize 2012
To enter JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge, just submit your business idea, clearly describing why it has the best potential.
More information about submitting your entry will be available during autumn 2013.
All entries are read and evaluated by a jury. The best entries are then selected to pitch their ideas to the jury in a Dragons' Den like evaluation (in December).
The award ceremony takes place on 6 February each year (Lennart Israelsson's birthday). A total of SEK 100,000 is in the prize pool, and the money is divided between the winners. The jury decides the allocation of the money.

In 2010 Aktiestinsen, Lennart Israelsson, donated a portfolio of shares worth almost Euro 560,000 to Jönköping International Business School and in 2012 he made another donation of approx. Euro 125,000. The yearly revenues are used to support among other things the entrepreneurial activities of JIBS students in JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge. The prize money is intended to help the winner start up a new business venture or keep working on an existing company.
"Entrepreneurs fascinate me. People who dare to take chances are indispensable. If I had not dared to take a chance long ago, I could never have done this today," says Lennart Israelsson.
Lennart Israelsson was born not far from Jönköping in 1916. He made his first stock investment in 1946, but had already retired when the media first drew attention to his successful and farsighted stock trading. In recent years he has made several donations, and he is a popular lecturer who often gives expert comments for major Swedish newspapers.
