Before you fill in the form, please read this information carefully.
In order to apply for a programme, follow these steps:
- Fill in the application form. Please note that the postal address and e-mail address given will be used for all future communication. It is therefore, very important that the information is correct. Applicants may only apply for a maximum of two programmes, a primary and secondary choice.
- When you have completed the application form, please check the information carefully before clicking on the "Submit application" button.
- Print out the application form as instructed on the web page. The application form must be signed by you and sent by post to Jönköping University, Admissions Office, Gjuterigatan 5, SE-553 18 Jönköping, Sweden and must be supported by the following certified documentation:
- Transcripts (certified copy or sent directly from your university depending on which country your degree is from): If your degree was awarded in Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan or USA, an official transcript of record must be sent directly from your university to the central Admissions Office, in a sealed envelope. If your degree was awarded in Pakistan, your degrees/transcripts and diplomas awarded must be attested by the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan. Transcripts from other countries may be received as certified copies.
- Proof of university graduation with at least a Bachelor´s degree (Bachelor's diploma)
- Letter from your university, if you are in your last semester (Spring/Summer 2012), indicating that it is expected that you will graduate in the Spring/Summer 2012, before the start of the programme. The document must be issued through and certified by a representative of the Academic Registrar's Office, the Examinations Office or equivalent. Certification from other staff members, such as faculty or college staff members, will not be accepted.
- Certificate of English language proficiency (an internationally recognized test e.g. IELTS/TOEFL taken after 1 January 2010, if English is not your native language. All TOEFL tests must be sent straight from Educational Testing Service (ETS). The institution code of Jönköping University is nr. 8487. (pdf, 22 kB). - A certified copy of your passport (if you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland, certification of your passport copy is not required. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens may submit a certified copy of a valid identity card which clearly states citizenship in place of a passport copy.)
Please sort your documents according to the list above, with the application form first. N.B.: You must send a complete application package, even if you have applied previously.
Important: The documents must be stamped and signed by the issuing institution or a notary public in the original language and in an officially certified translation into Swedish or English, if the documents are issued in another language. All copies must be officially certified as true copies, i.e. stamped and signed by the issuing school or a notary public.
Applications that are not supported by officially certified documents will not be processed. Jönköping University checks the authenticity of documents with the issuing institution.
Application Deadline
Application open until 2 May.
The complete application, (i.e. the application form and the supporting documents) must, for rapid processing of your application, reach the Admissions Office within two weeks after the online submission of the application. If you are unable to submit the application form and the supporting documents within the two week period, please contact the individual schools for further information:

Application Fee
Sweden has introduced an application fee of SEK 900 for citizens outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

Online Application Form
Applicants who submit the application form via the web page without sending a complete application together with supporting documents will not be considered. Neither will applications sent by fax or e-mail be processed.
