Course Contents
Even today in most of organizations more than 80% of information still are hidden in unstructured data, such as text document, web pages, image and video. The area of information retrieval concerns efficient organization, storage and retrieval of information from such data. The course examines fundamentals and advanced concepts, technologies and methods in the area, thus providing knowledge on ”State-of-Art”.The course includes the following topics:
- Information retrieval models
- Representing and indexing text documents
- Retrieval evaluation and relevance feedback
- Text classification and clustering
- Web information retrieval
Prerequisites
Passed courses 180 credits in first cycle, at least 90 credits within the major subject Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (with relevant courses in Computer Engineering), and 21 credits Mathematics, and English Language requirements corresponding to English A in the Swedish upper secondary schoolLevel of Education: Master A1N
