Knowledge Modelling and Knowledge Management 6 Credits

Course Contents

The course provideS students with a thorough understanding of concepts, methods and techniques for knowledge modeling and knowledge management. This includes different modeling approaches and characteristics of good models as well as the key issues for concepts and methods of knowledge management.

The course includes the following topics:
- Conceptual Abstraction Concepts
- Knowledge Modeling Paradigms and Languages
- Ontology Modeling
- Ontology Development
- Life cycle of Organizational Knowledge
- Knowledge Management enablers
- Knowledge Management supporting systems and Processes.

Prerequisites

Passed courses 180 credits in first cycle, at least 90 credits within the major subject Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (with relevant courses in Computer Engineering), and 21 credits Mathematics, and English Language requirements corresponding to English A in the Swedish upper secondary school
