Course Contents
The course addresses the organization, management and operation of production from an industrial perspective. Manufacturing activities are treated with respect to shop floor control, decision making and measuring performance and productivity, as well as the development and management of maintenance and quality.The course includes the following topics:
- Applied shop floor control
- Information flows
- Decision-making
- Employee compensation
- Evaluation of production – performance indices - Balanced Scorecard - lean accounting
- Productivity and Productivity Measurement
- Work Measurement - computer-based tools
- Basics of total productive maintenance, TPM
- Basics of of modern quality philosophies
Prerequisites
Passed courses 180 credits in first cycle, at least 90 credits within the major subject Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management or Civil Engineering, and 21 credits Mathematics, and completed course Production Development,Strategy-System-Technology, 15 cedits, and English Language requirements corresponding to English A in the Swedish upper secondary schoolLevel of Education: Master A1F
