Exterior Lighting Design Project 15 Credits

Course Contents

The course contains elements that give students knowledge about how to carry out lighting design which, based on requirements and norms, meets the needs for functionality and comfort that may be imposed by users on exterior lighting solutions. The course provides deeper knowledge in project form about digital tools, sustainable design and development, programme application, and economics and business planning.

The course includes the following elements:

- Project

- Knowledge of exterior light sources and light fittings

- Sustainable development in relation to the solution’s impact on the environment and ecosystems

- Economics and business planning, with methods for calculating costs for the solution’s life span, operation and installation

- Visualisation and presentation techniques

- Digital tools for communication and presentation

- Programmes in the design process

- Scientific way of working, applied to a project

Prerequisites

General entry requirements and completed courses in Interior Lighting Design Project, 15 credits, Energy Efficient Lighting Design, 6 credits, and Interior Lighting Design, 9 credits.
