

The School of Education and Communication is one of four schools constituting Jönköping University. The school offers a high academic excellence in a truly international learning environment. The facilities are modern, creative and well-equipped with the latest technology, which creates a productive environment for studies and research.
HLK has 100 partner universities around the world and participates in several programmes for student and teacher exchange inside and outside Europe.
The summer programme 2012 at the School of Education and Communication offers two courses on undergraduate and graduate levels: Scandinavian Media Landscape Studies and Advanced Scandinavian Media Landscape Studies.
You will be able to discover Sweden and the region of Småland as part of the social and cultural events included in the programme. Lectures and course work will be varied with field trips in different Scandinavian cities.

An important part of student life is meeting new people and relaxing with your friends. In Jönköping there are plenty of things to do when you need a break from your studies. Thanks to the central location of the university, parks, beaches and entertainment are all within walking distance.
The university campus also has cafés and restaurants where you can relax with friends and explore the swedish "fika" culture.
The landscape around Jönköping, with its mountains, hundreds of lakes and extensive forests and farmland, is renowned as one of Sweden's most attractive regions.
Just a short walk from the campus you will find the long sandy beaches of Lake Vättern, right in the city centre. Jönköping is Sweden's tenth largest city and almost one-third of Sweden's population lives within 170 km of here.
