
The School of Education and Communication is one of four schools within Jönköping University. Jönköping University is organised as a foundation that conducts research and offers education on bachelor, master, doctoral and executive levels.
The management of the School of Education and Communication consists of the board and the Dean, who is also the Academic Leader. The organisation is governed by the board's business plan and associated action plans as well as decisions regarding education plans.

Education- and programme committees take decisions for example about course syllabi. The committees consist of external members, teachers and students.
The teaching personnel at the School of Education and Communication belongs to one of three sub faculties.
Administrative staff belongs to either the Administration or the Administration of Education.
The School of Education and Communication is one of five companies making up Jönköping University. The three other companies of education and research are: Jönköping International Business School, School of Engineering and School of Health Sciences.
The fifth company is the University Services, responsible for local supplies, the joint library and the management and services to the Foundation and the four schools.
