International Work

International Work majoring in Global Studies prepares students to work internationally in areas such as foreign aid, international development, peace and conflict resolution or with international trade and commerce.

International Work majoring in Global Studies is offered as one of two options. One option is a two-year programme at university level, and the other is a three-year programme leading to a Bachelor's degree. The programme focuses on the relationships between people, as well as people's relationship to the world with issues such as democracy, sustainable development and cultures included in the studies.

The major is Global Studies. This includes a 15-week internship — either in Sweden or abroad — at, e.g., foreign aid organisations, corporations, government agencies, or in non-profit organisations. The internships are placed in the 3rd and 4th semester.

Approximately ten international organisations and public authorities have been involved in designing the programme.

Degree

The two-year programme leads to a Higher Education Diploma with specialisation in Global Studies and the three-year programme leads to a Bachelor of Science with a major in Global Studies.
