The academic year at the School of Education and Communication consists of 40 weeks, divided into two semesters.

Academic year

The academic year consists of 40 weeks, divided into two semesters. Each semesters is divided into two quarters, and full-time study is considered to be two courses per quarter, four courses per semester or eight per year.

There is no break between or during the quarters so international students wishing to travel for more than a weekend in Sweden or Europe should do so either before or after their study period at HLK.

International students may go home before Christmas.

January 23 - June 8
