Parking

Parking is available both on campus and near the university (see Map of campus).

The university's car park in front of JTH and JIBS, HLK and in Munksjöparken (behind HHJ) can only be utilized by students and staff with valid parking permits. Others who wish to park on campus must buy a valid parking ticket from a ticket machine, these tickets are only valid in the gravel car park below the School of Health Sciences. The car park is often full and in these instances we refer visitors to the car parks in the surrounding area.

A valid parking permit must be visible through the front windscreen so that guards easily can see it.

Students

Permission is managed by the student union at the Studentservice and are sold monthly or for each semester. The students' parking permits are only valid in Munksjöparken as of 1 January 2012 due to the construction work of the new Wellness Centre on campus.

Staff

For parking permits please fill the following form (in Swedish - if you need assistance, please contact Johanna Axelsson). Permits are rented for 6 months at a time for two periods (1 January-30 June, 1 July — 31 December) and cost SEK 250 each month outdoor and SEK 500 in a garage. The three parking garages (HLK, JTH and HHJ) are only available for staff. Payment is made through salary deductions. Termination of the parking space must be made at least one month before the lease period runs out, otherwise the agreement will be extended automatically (i.e. on 31 May or 30 November at the latest).

Visitors

Since both students and staff park in the university car parks there is often a shortage of free spaces. Visitors are encourages to park off campus; there are both outdoor car parks, (e.g. Västra Torget) and parking garages (e.g. Per Brahe) near the university.

If a School wants to offer its guest a temporary parking permit this must arranged before the guest arrives.
