JIBS rewarded for high quality

Today, the Swedish government presented its budget which proposes that SEK 7.9 million be distributed to Jönköping University for top marks in the national evaluation of the Bachelor’s education in Business Administration at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS).

Jönköping University is among those higher education institutions in Sweden that proportionally will receive the most additional resources from the government in the Budget for 2013.

It was in May this year that the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education (HSV) presented the national evaluation of the quality of education in Business Administration. The evaluation gave JIBS’s Bachelor’s education in Business Administration the highest mark: "very high quality". Among all HEIs in Sweden, it was only three who received the highest grade for Bachelor’s education in Business Administration. It is for this reason that the government is rewarding Jönköping University.

In total, Jönköping University will receive SEK 22 million more than previously announced by the government. The rest of the money goes to additional places for education for Bachelor’s studies at the School of Engineering and a temporary investment in higher education for the university the period 2013-2015.
