The research at JIBS is to a large extent conducted through the nationally and internationally recognized centres CeFEO, CEnSE and MMTC.

JIBS has three centres that serve as cross-disciplinary hubs of knowledge. The centres provide platforms for interaction and exchange of ideas among faculty, which results in synergies related to research opportunities, funding, and networking. The knowledge density and entrepreneurial spirit, nurtured by the centres, function as a catalyst for continuous development in JIBS research and education. Each centre is led by a Centre Director who supervises the scholars affiliated with it, helps inspire the cross-fertilization of ideas, and works to increase their funding sources. The Associate Dean of Research regularly meets with the directors to discuss their research and strategies.

Much of the research at JIBS is conducted within one or across the centres:

  • Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO)
  • Centre for Entrepreneurship and Spatial Economics (CEnSE)
  • Media, Management and Transformation Centre (MMT Centre)
