Being a business school, close cooperation with business and industry is particularly important to us. Our main focus lies in helping companies grow and develop, in a global as well as local context.

This involves contract research, conferences, workshops, software development, networking, customized courses and other services but also concepts of knowledge and experience as well as unique, new projects. All employees at JIBS may start and run projects for the benefit of society.

JIBS’ close collaboration with business life provides that extra edge to our students. For instance, we have a host company programme including almost 300 companies, big and small, local, national and multinational, allowing students to solve authentic business problems as part of the courses. In combination with our strong international profile, this makes our students global professionals with an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude.

An ability to communicate and do business across national boundaries is imperative for economic development. Developing such knowledge is central to all research at JIBS. Almost all businesses need to be prepared to meet international competition, be it at home in their domestic markets or abroad. Here, JIBS benefits from a strong international profile.

Science Park Jönköping, situated close to campus, provides support for the start-up, development and growth of business ventures. Each year, around 50 new businesses are developed by students at JIBS. Most of them survive and later flourish thanks to the support of competent advisors, the business incubator at Science Park, and the dynamic environment that is typical for JIBS.

Our Business Advisory Council comprise business leaders, social commentators and alumni to provide advice to our faculty and board.
