Content

Marketing Management is a three-year programme designed to make you a person well equipped to support companies´ development and growth by leading projects and functions within marketing and business renewal. Your studies are conducted in English together with students from many countries and you are taught by a highly international faculty. 

The combination of theory and practice, and recurring group work makes Marketing Management a programme that provides you with  important experience for your future career.
 
During the first two years of study you study basic courses in business administration and economics to learn about key functions in regards to business as well as the market. In accordance to the program aim, several of these courses are designed to ensure that you are well equipped with a broad understanding of the various parts of marketing management. In addition to the central course “marketing management", you study “purchasing and sales", “supply chain management", “international marketing", and “marketing communications". To enable you to take lead in projects you take courses in “organization and leadership“ and “project management".

In the last year you personalize your degree through elective courses. You can study the fifth semester abroad but you can also study electives at JIBS. During the sixth and final semester you further develop your knowledge in a specified area of marketing by writing a thesis. In parallel you take courses to further develop your insights in leadership and get acquainted with business law.

Further studies

Depending on what elective courses you take, your degree will make you eligible for studies on master level in Swedish and other countries. 

Career Prospects

A degree from the Marketing Management programme implies that you are well prepared to tackle a range of positions related to marketing in local as well as international business contexts. During your career you can, for example, be employed as: trainee, project leader, marketing assistant, communications planner, marketing coordinator, business developer, product manager, brand manager, sales person, account manager/key account manager/service manager, after-sales, or export manager.
