Located in one of Sweden's most dynamic enterprise regions, JIBS is ideally placed for world-class research in a wide range of areas and for close cooperation with business and society.
JIBS conducts research in five subjects: Business Administration, Economics, Informatics, Commercial Law, and Statistics. Areas include entrepreneurship, international trade, regional economics, economic geography, financial economics, family business, logistics, statistics, international tax law, business development, innovation, management and media management.
Our research environment encourages working over disciplinary boundaries. This makes the research more relevant and strengthens our footing in the business world. We are also active partners in several international networks, which means that we participate in and initiate international research projects.
In entrepreneurship research, JIBS ranks ninth globally and third in Europe. In family business research, JIBS ranks fourth globally and first in Europe. Our researchers select up-to-date issues to focus on, always thinking about how entrepreneurs can use their findings - because research is not just about getting something published but about giving something back to society.
