Thomas Holgersson is professor in Statistics at JIBS, got his PhD in Statistics from Göteborg University 2003 and has held a position at JIBS since then. He has been programme manager for the master programme of Economics and Civilekonomprogrammet, and is currently involved in administration, research and teaching at all levels.
Holgersson's research has involved many fields of Statistics such as prediction theory, computer intensive methods and assessment of distributional properties. He is currently working with methods for analysis of high-dimensional data together with his doctoral students.
Holgersson is administrating the undergraduate education in Statistics at JIBS, and is involved in teaching at the sections of Economics and Statistics, Informatics and Business Administration respectively. He was awarded the Pedagogical Prize (best teacher of the year) at JIBS 2005, JIBS 2006 and at Jönköping University 2008.
