Researcher of the month - January 2012
PhD and Assistant Professor Business Administration, ESOL(Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Organisation and Leadership) and CeFEO - Centre for Family Enterprise and Ownership
During the last year of my PhD studies I started working at EGADE Business School in Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. Supervised by Bengt Johannisson, I received my PhD from Linnaeus University in Växjö.
I had my first contact with JIBS as a Doctoral student. During that time I realized that JIBS has created a great research environment. In 2009 I heard from Leif Melin about the opportunity to make a postdoc. Considering that JIBS has an international reputation as a leading research institution on entrepreneurship and family business, I decided immediately to conduct a postdoc on ownership transfer in family businesses at CeFEO - Centre for Family Enterprise and Ownership.
My main research interest is anchored on the field of entrepreneurship. I am interested in entrepreneurial phenomena that are socially based triggering different entrepreneurship(s). The entrepreneurship(s) are working attitudes, modes of thinking and social practices that are crucial in today´s societies as they foster human, organizational and economic growth in sustainable ways. I have so far contextualized the entrepreneurship(s) on divorced women, family businesses, and clusters.
The best with JIBS is its working environment; people employed here love their professions, jobs and workplace. All of this encourages productivity on research and challenges teaching on entrepreneurship. Continuous interaction with colleagues fosters collaboration and creativity. Besides it is exciting to have colleagues from different parts of the world and meet their cultures throughout our professional and social interactions!
