Jönköping University welcomes all of its students, and students with disabilities should have the same opportunities for study as others. Therefore, special educational support is available for those who can confirm their disability with the proper documentation.
"Disabilities" means enduring physical or psychological limitations that affect the functionality of a student to study. The term “enduring" is to be interpreted in reference to the expressions "temporary" and "permanent". In other words, disability indicates cases where the disability does not have to be permanent, but should not be a temporary situation of damage.
If you are in need of support, you should contact student services and the co-ordinator of support for students with disabilities as soon as possible and at the latest in connection with your application for study. This is particularly important if you require assistance such as sign language. You are of course welcome to contact the coordinator at any time during your studies for support or help.
The coordinator for students with disabilities at Jönköping University is Lillemor Boström Hugosson.
