Business and Society

The School of Engineering has an extensive collaboration with the community within the region, nationally, and globally. Thereby building a strong and attractive academic environment, and at the same time participating in community development.

The School of Engineering cooperates with more than 500 companies through the Host Company Project. Students are given the opportunity to combine theory with practice and companies are given valuable ideas. The collaboration with Science Park and Knutpunkten Career Center provides opportunities for students to start enterprises and find appropriate employment upon graduation.

The research profile "Industrial product realisation in cooperation, especially applications for small and medium-sized enterprises" is carried out in close association with regional industry.

International Collaborations

The School of Engineering cooperates with several universities within the Erasmus network and Nordplus network. There are also bilateral agreements with some universities. The agreements include student mobility, teaching staff mobility, joint curriculum development and intensive programme.
