Research Areas
Research is carried out within four research areas with "Industrial product realisation in cooperation" as the common denominator.
The research areas of School of Engineering are:
- Product Development at the department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Materials and Manufacturing at the department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Industrial Production at the department of Industrial Organisation and Production.
- Information Engineering at the department of Computer and Electrical Engineering.
In order to connect research and education, some additional research is carried out at the departments of Civil Engineering and Lighting Design and in Mathematics and Physics.
Product Development
The research is directed towards technology and methods for development and production of industrial products.
Materials and Manufacturing
The research is directed towards material properties and production processes especially for cast materials.
Industrial Production
The research is directed towards development, operation and management of systems for production and distribution in manufacturing companies.
Information Engineering
The research is directed towards information logistics and knowledge supply in companies and networked organisations.
