Application Deadline

The complete application, (i.e. the application form and the supporting documents) must, for rapid processing of your application, reach the Admissions Office within two weeks after the online submission of the application. The on-line application deadline is April 15 for the undergraduate level programme and April 30 for the graduate level programme. If you are unable to submit the application form and the supporting documents within the two week period, please contact: summerprogramme@ju.se

The undergraduate level programme starts on June 3.

When your application and all enclosed documents have reached the Admissions Office, you will receive a reply via e-mail.

Application Fee

Sweden requires an application fee of SEK 900 for citizens outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. More information regarding who is required to pay fees

Applicants who submit the application form via the web page without sending a complete application together with supporting documents will not be considered. Applications sent by  fax or e-mail will not be processed.

In order to apply for the summer programme, follow these steps:

  1. Fill in the application form. Please note that the postal address and e-mail address given will be used for all future communication. It is therefore very important that the information is correct. Applicants may only apply for a maximum of two courses, a primary and secondary choice. The courses run intensively and in parallel, which means that students may only participate in one of them.
  2. When you have completed the application form, please check the information carefully before clicking on the “Submit application" button.
  3. Print out the application form as instructed on the web page. The application form must be signed by you and sent by post to Jönköping University, Admissions Office, Gjuterigatan 5, SE-553 18 Jönköping, Sweden and must be supported by the following certified documentation:

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL COURSES:

  • Official transcript of academic records (certified copy or sent directly from the student’s home university depending on which country your degree is from)*

* If your degree was awarded in Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan or USA, an official transcript of record must be sent directly from your university to the central Admissions Office, in a sealed envelope. If your degree was awarded in Pakistan, your degrees/transcripts and diplomas awarded must be attested by the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan.Transcripts from other countries may be received as certified copies.

  • Certificate of English language proficiency (an internationally recognized test e.g. IELTS/TOEFL taken after 1 January 2009, if English is not your native language. All TOEFL tests must be sent straight from Educational Testing Service (ETS). The institution code of Jönköping University is nr. 8487. You must provide this code in order for your results to be reported to Jönköping University. For more information please see www.ets.org/toefl, www.ielts.org).   • A copy of your passport. EU citizens must have their passport copy attested, which means that another person must sign their name, print their name and provide their telephone number on each document copy you submit. This person, by signing, is attesting that the copy you submit is an exact copy of the original. A friend, relative or government official can provide this attestation for you.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR GRADUATE LEVEL COURSES

  • Bachelor Diploma (certified copy): Students must have successfully completed a bachelor degree at a recognized university. Note: If a student has not received the diploma, but are is in its final semester (Spring 2013) the student may submit a letter from the home university, indicating that the student will graduate in the Spring 2013, before the start of the summer programme. The document must be issued through and certified by a representative of the Academic Registrar’s Office, the Examinations Office or equivalent. Certification from other staff members, such as faculty or college staff member, will not be accepted.
  • Official transcript of academic records (certified copy or sent directly from the student’s home university depending on which country your degree is from)*

Please sort your documents according to the list above, with the application form first. N.B.: You must send a complete application package, even if you have applied previously.

Important: The documents must be stamped and signed by the issuing school or a notary public in the original language and in an officially certified translation into Swedish or English, if the documents are issued in another language. All copies must be officially certified as true copies, i.e. stamped and signed by the issuing school or a notary public.

Applications that are not supported by officially certified documents, will not be processed. Jönköping University checks the authenticity of documents with the issuing school.

Please include a note on the application form that you are a JU student and your personal number/registration number at JU. The academic records will be obtained by the admissions office via ladok.

NOTE: The supporting documents mentioned above must be issued in the original language and in officially certified translations in English or Swedish if the documents are not originally in one of these languages. Jönköping University may check the authenticity of documents with the issuing school.

*A copy is considered certified when it includes the signature, name of the signatory, title of the signatory and stamp of the home institution on each page.  The signatory must be one of the following: program director, academic registrar, associate dean of education or study counsellor.  A copy can also be certified by an authorized notary public. Jönköping University may check the authenticity of documents with the issuing school.

Applications that are not complete and do not include the supporting documents will not be processed.
